With more than 10 years of commercial real estate lending experience, Chris Hew, vice president, capital markets, is responsible for nationwide loan origination, based out of Walker & Dunlop’s Bethesda, Maryland office. Throughout his career, Mr. Hew has been directly responsible for closing $400 million in loan volume and has assisted in additional loan closings totaling over $1 billion.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Hew served as a director for GE Capital Real Estate where he originated commercial real estate loans across all asset classes and evaluated loan opportunities within the CMBS and structured finance platforms. Prior to GE Capital Real Estate, Mr. Hew served as a vice president of debt origination where he led the Northeast origination effort for the hotel lending platform. Mr. Hew began his career at GE Lighting in the Financial Management Program and was later selected to join the Corporate Audit Staff as an associate, responsible for driving global GE initiatives, sharing best practices and building senior client relationships.
Mr. Hew holds a Masters in real estate from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from Southern Connecticut State University.
